I have been using the free StatCounter to track all my WordPress Sites traffic stats since July 2009. For a free service, I am 100% satisfied.
For my Site Build It! sites, I have all the wonderful complete traffic stats reports that give me a total control and insight into all my web traffic.
If you are using the free blog, you just need to add a code into each web page that you want to track.
If you are using self hosted WordPress, then it is real simple:
Get the zip file of the code and download to your desktop, un-zip it and use the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) to upload the php file to your wp-content/plugins/ folder.
In your WordPress Dashboard, just activate the plugin and all your web pages will be tracked.
